Members of the SBC Food Policy Council represent the five following sectors of the food system:

Production - farmers, farmworkers, ranchers, community garden managers

Consumption - educators, nutritionists, public health professionals, advocacy groups

Distribution - CSAs, locally-owned grocery stores (including the Isla Vista Food Co-op), farmers market association

Processing - bakeries, restaurants 

Waste Management - city composting, green waste experts

New members are always welcome to attend general assembly meetings.
